I am a specialist Plastic Surgeon and Reconstructive Microsurgeon in Cape Town, South Africa. I am a full member of APRSSA - the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of South Africa.

Thanks for visiting my page. I am Dr. Conrad Pienaar, specialising in Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery in Cape Town, South Africa and a full member of APRSSA - the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of South Africa.
I completed my medical degree at the University of the Free State, and qualified as a specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the University of Cape Town in 2003. Microsurgery is both my first love and my area of expertise. I super-specialised in microsurgery at the Medical University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

OPERATION SMILE VOLUNTEER
Operation Smile provides free surgeries to patients born with cleft lip and palates and is the most rewarding aspect of my job. I am a medical advisor to Operation Smile South Africa and a regular volunteer and speaker for the organisation. My love of what I do comes from changing the life of every single patient I meet.
ARTIST
I am an avid surfer, kite-boarder, paraglider and enthusiastic rock climber.
Intrinsically creative, I am an avid sculptor and have produced several works for exhibition. Having the spirit of an artist was my inspiration behind becoming a plastic surgeon – it seemed like a natural progression. I realised that if I could create works of art using my love of detail and artistic expression that I could also make a life-changing difference to the lives of others. My reward truly comes from the joy in every transformation that I partake in.
